“Show Me” Reptile Show
July 8 - July 9
Show me snakes began in a family living room initially thought of as a “bad idea”. Show Me Snakes was initially called “Show Me Reptile & Exotics Show” or “Show Me Show” for Short. There were other reptile shows, but there was something missing. Show Me Snakes did not want to be just another show. Show me Snake’s felt a responsibility to the reptile community to not only be a memorable experience; but to also inspire passion in education for conservation in those who love the “abnormal” pets known as reptiles. Show Me Snakes Desired to create a space where people could share their unique passions as well as encourage safe and responsible keeping; and to embolden the curiosity occasionally hidden behind fear. Show Me Snakes believes it has a duty to transform that fear into fascination. This would be done by bringing unique events to the public.
Show Me Snake’s first show was held in October 2015 at the District 9 Machinist Hall in Bridgeton, Missouri. This “bad idea” snowballed from that living room, to a great local show, into the national spotlight. The “Show Me Show” has since expanded incredibly with at least 25 shows a year not counting special events.
A “Show Me Show” is a unique experience for both reptile lovers and the reptile-curious. It is a place of friendship and community for everyone.
When you walk into a Show Me Show you can expect to see large crowds of people who admire and care for animals. The show provides everything you need to properly care for your reptiles.
