The holidays bring a lot of joy, but they can also bring some stress as well. Visit WilCo has some holiday stress relief tips for you to try this holiday season.

1. Make lists to ensure you have everything planned out ahead of time. This eliminates forgotten items and last minute trips to the store.
2. Take a walk on any of WilCo’s trails or State Parks

The holiday season is in full swing as we get ready for “The Big Guy” to make his yearly trip around the world, with a very important stop in Wilson County!

Christmas Parades are a very important part of Wilson County’s holiday season. Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, and Watertown each have unique parades during the month of December.

Lebanon will have their annual Christmas Parade on December 2, 2018. This year’s theme is “Miracles on Main Street.” Participants are encouraged to make their floats focused on a miracle, which can be created by an individual or through an organization. The 2018 Grand Marshals will be Make-a-Wish of Wilson County recipients Joshua and Gabe, and the parade will begin at 2 PM. For more information, click on the picture below.

Mt. Juliet will be hosting “A Country Christmas” on December 8, 2018. The festivities will begin at 7:30 AM with parade staging and the parade will begin at 11 AM. For more information and the complete list of activities and parade route, click on the picture below.

Watertown will be having their 2018 Christmas parade on December 15^th starting at 2 PM. Spectators can begin lining up for the parade at 1 PM at the Round Lick Baptist Church. You can find a complete parade route and more information by clicking on the picture below.

It’s officially the Holiday season! Halloween and Thanksgiving have come and gone, and now it’s time to get into the Christmas spirit! Luckily, that’s easy to do with all WilCo’s holiday offerings, including some of the best light displays in the state…or maybe even the country (at least we think so!) Wilson County is home to Middle Tennessee’s largest musical light display called The Dancing Lights of Christmas, where you can find a kid’s ice-skating rink, mechanical reindeer rides, life size snow globe photo booth, and delicious treats. Still can’t get enough of those twinkling lights? Check out Chad’s Winter Wonderland where you can see over 2 million lights, live animals hundreds of Christmas scenes, a live Frosty, and a real Santa Claus!

Need something to help you walk off all the food you ate Thursday and Friday? Don’t forget about Shop Small Saturday! Head on out to Watertown, Mt. Juliet, and Lebanon to see what deals they are having on a great day to support small, locally owned businesses.

Get into the holiday spirit this weekend between the turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie by checking out some of Wilson County’s festive activities!

The first ever WilCo Feast Week is here!!!! For any foodies out there, the ultimate week to feast has finally commenced.

Today, November 2, thru November 9, you can go to any of the participating Feast Week restaurants during their normal operating hours, ask for a *SPECIAL* Feast Week menu, and get three courses for one fixed price.

15 restaurants throughout Wilson County have chosen their menus, their price, and have even chosen to give $1 of every Feast Week meal purchased to a Wilson County charity of their choice.

Just like with any event, there are a few rules you must follow (but there aren’t many, we promise):

2. Show up hungry at one of the participating Feast Week Restaurants and enjoy three courses at one great price!

3. Let your server know you are there for Feast Week to receive the special Feast Week menu and pricing!

4. Leave full of good food and a good feeling knowing you just gave back to a local, Wilson County charity by dining for Feast Week!

5.  Order one meal for each person in your party (no splitting meals please.) Don’t forget to take care of your server! Your beverage, tax, and gratuity will be additional charge to the flat rate, and other coupons or promotions cannot be applied to the Feast Week Pricing.
